A small ginger cat climbed into a police rescue robot before its dog pilot could. Now the two of them have to get out of the lab, through the factory and up the tower.

One mech, one cat, one rear hatch
The robot is heavy and strong. It rams cracked walls, holds down heavy plates, blocks lasers with its body and wades through water. Tap left or right twice and hold it, and after a short run-up the robot charges: it bursts crates, breaks armoured walls, sends enemies flying and takes ramps into the air. Press Down in the air and it stomps through cracked floors.
The cat is small and quick. It jumps high, climbs scratch walls, crawls through vents, steps on paw switches and drives the crane.
Press Down and the cat drops out of the robot's rear hatch. Jump into the hatch from behind to climb back in. While the cat is out, the robot stands still. So every level asks the same question: who goes where, and where do you park the robot?
Drones, turrets, guard dogs and little vacuum bots get in the way. The robot's body stops their shots, and it knocks them out by walking into them. A guard dog is too quick for the robot, so the cat lures it to the robot's back and dives into the hatch, and the robot sends the dog flying.
Nine levels, three floors, one giant vacuum
Six of the nine levels scroll sideways over three or four screens. The robot keeps a checkpoint on every screen it reaches with the cat aboard. If the cat gets caught, both of them go back to the last checkpoint. In the final fight, the round starts over. Some switches set off an alarm: the exit starts to close, and the cat must get back into the robot and out in time.
The villain is MAX SUCKTION, a giant vacuum. In the lab it breaks through the wall and pulls everything towards it. In the factory it drags the crane towards its mouth. On the roof it waits for the final fight, in three rounds.
- Round 1: park the robot on the plate at its foot. The cat climbs up its dust bag between the pulls and cuts its fuse. The grille over its maw drops. Get the cat back in and ram the maw before the vacuum wakes up.
- Round 2: it raises an armoured shield. Charge through it, stop on the plate, cut the fuse again and ram again.
- Round 3: there is no fuse and no plate left, and every pull drags the robot closer. The cat lifts the robot with the crane and sets it down on the OFF button on its head.
Every level hides fish. The cat can grab one, but it only counts once the cat brings it home into the robot. The top bar counts the fish you bring home, without a goal. Bring enough of them home, and at the end K9-OS, the robot's onboard computer, can read the cat's name on its collar tag. Each level also has three stars: all its fish home, no hits and a time under par.
Controls
- Move: arrow keys or A and D
- Charge: tap left or right twice and hold it (A and D, the stick or the D-pad as well); after a short run-up the robot charges
- Jump: Up, W or Space
- Down or S: the cat drops out of the rear hatch; in the air the robot stomps
- In the crane: Left and Right move the cab, Down lowers the magnet onto the robot or sets it down, Jump hops out
- Gamepad (experimental): stick or D-pad to move, tap it twice to charge, A to jump, down to drop out or to stomp in the air
- Volume: the cat touches the speaker in the first level, one notch per touch
- Stuck? A reset chute waits at the start of every screen. Jump into it with the cat to go back to the last checkpoint. Jump in again within five seconds to start the level over.
Jam restriction: Movement Input Only
Every input moves the active body: left, right, jump and down, and the robot's charge is two taps of left or right. The cat drops out of the rear hatch with Down and jumps back in. Levers, plates, doors, checkpoints and resets all work by touching, landing on or walking into things. In the crane, the same four inputs move the cab and the magnet. There are no action buttons and no menus: any movement key starts the game, and the volume is a speaker the cat touches.
How AI built this
Made by funkyape with Claude Code (Anthropic). Claude Code wrote the code and the texts, built the levels and drew the pixel art in code; funkyape directed, playtested and decided what stays.
Generated with AI: the reference picture for the look (ChatGPT), a few background props, two concept pictures and MAX SUCKTION's body (Z-Image Turbo, Apache 2.0), and the factory and tower music (ACE-Step 1.5, MIT licence).
Credits
- Cast: Mochi, a cat. K9-OS, a computer. MAX SUCKTION, a vacuum. It was not consulted.
- Art: pixel art drawn in code by Claude Code after a reference picture by funkyape.
- Engine: Phaser (MIT licence).
- Font: KenPixel Nova by Kenney (CC0).
- Music: Wacky Waiting from Kenney's Music loops (CC0) in the lab and on the title screen. Claude Code generated the factory and tower music with ACE-Step 1.5 (MIT licence).
- Sound effects: Digital sounds and Jingle sounds by Kenney (CC0); Pro Sound Collection by Gamemaster Audio (licensed through the Humble RPG Game Dev Bundle). Claude Code synthesised the fight's drums and heartbeat.
